Exciting News!

I'm so honored to have a song featured on "Singing Through the Hard Times, A Tribute To Utah Phillips" That has just been nominated for a GRAMMY award in the Best Traditional Folk category. I knew when I was asked to be involved in this CD that I was working on something of value. me just weeks This whole CD is a wonderful tribute to a man who kept the flame of hope burning, now perhaps with this CD we can carry on and keep his light bright for the future.

Rik's video of Singing Through the Hard Times is now up on the web! You'll notice the video begins with some footage of Utah talking about what it means to be a pacifist. You can find it here.

Please pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested in Utah, the CD, folk music, peace, or what have you. It's a song for our times!

Traveling Mercies, Folk Style

An article by Richard Skelly about the NJ Folk Festival 2004:

"Like a journeyman carpenter who has built hundreds of homes, folksinger Rik Palieri has carefully honed his craft and his presentation by performing thousands of shows. Back in 1985, Palieri made playing in 1,000 schools around the U.S. his goal. He accomplished that goal three-and-a-half years later. Since then, he's performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Vancouver Folk Festival in Canada, Boston's Bread and Roses Festival and many other large music gatherings around the U.S. and Europe."
